Kunwar Customs Leo: RE Thunderbird 350 Modified

Kunwar Customs is on a bang with a new project named "LEO" a bobber, based on our beloved Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 cc. Based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, this workshop is run by Mr. Rakesh Rathore.

Recently they have done many projects like Cafe Racer on Benelli Imperiale 400, Bobber on Electra, a Cafe Racer on NS 200.

On talking about their recent project they told us that Thunderbird is a cruise segment motorcycle. People love it for tours and long rides without messing with an already perfect engine. The motorcycle is completely re-done. At first, there is a wider vintage tubeless tires 4.50* 18R in the rear and 4.00 *18 R in front, and accordingly, Rear Swing Arm has been widened to fit the new tire comfortably. The new set of alloy wheels is also fitted because the old Thunderbird comes with spoke wheels. The seat’s height is also lowered to give it a bobber stance, as well as a new custom-made fuel tank, has been fitted, which is made out of scratch and's fresh. The kind of shape it has and the dip curve blended with a fuel tank line followed by the rear Cowl Line. They also fitted a new custom side tool panel that looks like the part of the LEO.

The entire motorcycle and all its parts are painted first hand to ensure quality and finishing. As if we talk about paint, it's metallic gray with a combination of matte and gloss black. They have also played well on all other parts like panel, fuel tank, skid plate, rear seat cowl, and front fender. Its main color is metallic gray with the borders of matte and gloss black. The reflection on the parts speaks about the effort of the paint job itself.

We Indians are the big fan of loud exhaust and so are the traffic police official with their norms; so a beautiful brass exhaust is made by the team that hits a perfect spot of the orgasmic sound of petrol heads, as well as satisfy the traffic norms.

The exhaust was specifically cast for this which builds the perfect pipes wrapped by black heat wrapping tape, to control the heat in and give an eye-pleasing look. The Bally Pan is also custom made

With a beautiful hammered border, and the holes that keep the air flows to the engine.
A more comfortable handle to suit the bobber riding position is installed which doesn't strain the arms. A pair of beautiful leather grip can be seen on the throttle bar that matches the seat leather and beautiful engraving work on the leavers that make it stand apart. Also, the bike name "LEO" hands craved on handle plate. It’s great to see the detailed work they have done on every single part.

The seat is uniquely designed with practicality thinking about those who ride long ways, it provides you the ample support.
Just where the seat ends you can see a handmade cowl behind, so it won't look empty and also make it different from other bobber’s we see.

The air filter is fully in-house custom made which is ultra different in looks. Both the side, we also have beautifully designed carburetor cover.
A new small bobber-style headlight looks great, tell light mounted along with the number plate, and a new pair of indicators are also installed that give a different look and feel to the bike.

Along with it, we can also see, customized foot peg with a brass work on it along with another brass essence like the Logo on Fuel Tank, etc to give a more premium and handcrafted look to the bike.

All the new parts are build and added without compromising the integrity of the bike and it does promise the topmost quality and material.

The final equation is a good balance of thoughtful craftsmanship and engineering. No one can complain that the build might be having too many bells and whistles, it hits a sweet spot with the final aesthetics. In an era of butt loads of machines out there, this surely is one of a kind ride.
