Radical new cars to look forward to in 2017

The Indian car market is growing and manufacturers from around the world are bringing in a host of new vehicles.While a quarter of 2017 has already passed by, Here are 6!!

TaMo RaceMo


Why is it radical?   The RaceMo will become the cheapest sports car in India when launched. The  product is developed in-house by Tata and is truly essential.
The RaceMo will be the first car that will be based on Tata’s Moflex platform. It features looks futuristic. The car features is like Bi-LED headlamps, rear spoiler, 18-inch wheels at the rear and 17-inch at the front and more. The RaceMo will also become India’s first connected car appointed with the technology developed by Microsoft. The vehicle will get cloud computing connection.
The RaceMo specifications are:
1.A 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine that puts out a maximum power of 186 Bhp.
2.A maximum torque of 210 Nm. It will get a 6-speed AMT.
The car is expected to be launched at around Rs. 25 lakh.

Scorpion MK IV


Why is it radical?   Scorpion MK IV will be the most utmost off-roading vehicle that will be road legal.
The Scorpion MK is a vehicle developed for utmost off-roading. The highly capable vehicle is also used by the USA Army to reach locations. The SUV comes with suspension system that provides huge delivery and ability to keep all the four wheels on the ground in any situation.
The Scorpion MK IV is powered by two engine versions – 5.7-litre V8 petrol and 3.9-litre diesel engine. This will be the first instance where an off-road buggy will be road legal in India.

Hyundai Ioniq


Why is it radical?   Cheapest full-hybrid in India

The Hyundai Ioniq is an all-new car built on the zero-emission platform. Hyundai has confirmed that they will bring the hybrid version of the vehicle in India this year.
The Specifications are:
1.The full-hybrid powered by 1.6-litre GDi engine that develops a maximum of 102 Bhp and 147 Nm of torque.
2.There will be an electric motor that will add another 42.4 Bhp and 169.4 Nm of torque.
3. The cars will reach India as Completely Knocked Down (CKD) units.
This move is expected price , at around Rs. 25 lakhs.

Tesla Model 3

Why is it radical?   The Model 3 is known as the future of the electric vehicles with an autopilot system.

Elon Musk, chief of Tesla had announced that the Model 3 will be launched in India in 2017. The Model 3 is the most affordable Tesla car after the company tasted huge success with the likes of Model S and Model X. The Model 3 is targeted at the people  at an affordable price.
Even though the complete details of the vehicle is not known yet, the car will get a range of 344 km on a full charge.

Skoda Octavia vRS


Why is it radical?   Affordable high-performance car for the addict.

Skoda Octavia vRS was a popular name among the addict in India a few years back. The Octavia name did make a comeback in India but not the high-performance vRS. The all-new vRS will enter the Indian market this year. The car gets a new dual LED headlamp set-up, 19-inch wheels and a larger grilles .
About engines:
1.The 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces 230 Bhp – 350 Nm while the 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine produces 184 Bhp – 380 Nm.

Toyota Alphard


Why is it radical?   The Alphard will redefine the premium MPV segment
Toyota is known for its reliability in India. The popularity of the Innova has made Toyota leader in the MPV segment. Toyota has announced the launch of Alphard in India. The hybrid MPV come with up to 8 seats depending on the configuration chosen.
The Alphard is a hybrid vehicle and will be priced at around Rs. 50 lakh.
The Alphard specifications are :
 1.The 2.5-litre petrol engine and an electric motor that powers the Camry hybrid.
2. The car comes with E-CVT transmission that is linked to the electric motor and the engine.
3.The car comes with premium equipment like the panoramic sunroof, 9-inch touchscreen system with Blue-Ray player, ambient lights and more.
