Ducati 848 Cafe Racer Build by Mike Salek

Today we are featuring a cafe racer based on Ducati 848 build by Mike Salek. Mike had removed all the parts of the bike and built it at 2 different locations.

This was all started when Mike's friend offered him bike for modification and he started planning the modification. Mike wanted to make something different and for this he stripped down his bike in to his garage in Canada and took all the bike parts and flew to California for parts makeover.

He wanted to built a modern cafe  racer which will be light and fast. He took inspiration from the Ducati 999 design. Worked upon it to make a single body piece which would make servicing easier.  Mike seeks the help of David Martinez for creating the aluminium body parts.Frame and wheels are powder coated in light satin grey. After the completion of body work then mike send it for the custom painting. The Porsche 964 Ice pearl paint is done on this bike. After the painting mike packs the part for his garage again where he has to done the performance upgrades.

Mike has custom build the exhaust in which he installed the new pipe with SC carbon mufler. Airbox was also customized. A power commander is also installed before the dyno tuning. He used Ducati 999 bars and CRG levers. A single 6 inch unit headlight is installed.

Mike also has worked hard in removing the excess length by working on wiring part and also manufacture his own carbon panel.
